Today we recapped our knowledge on adding numbers with 4 digits together using the column method. We used place value counters and a place value chart to work out the calculations. These helped us explore what happens to the digits when we exchange from a different column.
In Maths this week we have been focusing on place value and looking at numbers up to 10 million. Today, we had lots of fun playing the place value dice game and competing against each other to try and make the biggest/smallest number. In this game, we took it in turns to roll the dice and decide which column we would place our number on the dice in. The winner was the person who had the biggest or the smallest number once all the columns were filled.
